The cats listed here are only some of the AnimaLovers animals waiting for adoption. You can visit our cat clinics in the East Greenbush PetSmart. We look forward to seeing you there! Click here for directions. Our hours are:

Our trained volunteers will be happy to acquaint you with our cats, answer your questions, and complete adoptions.

Our adoption fee for each of our cats and kittens is $85. Your pet will be up-to-date on its shots and will be spayed/neutered.

Peter

Peter will be always ready for thousands of snuggles--from someone like you! He is a great companion that likes to be around people and dogs. Peter likes to play with everything. Persia

A sweet fluffy kitten, an exceptional jumper with a weakness for high places! Quiet like a mouse she likes to stay around you always ready to jump on your lap. Persia is a beautiful orange tabby kitten and her expressive eyes will melt your heart. For some unexplained reason she has a passion for stealing…socks!! What a spectacular view is watching Persia playing and cuddling with the dog in her foster home!!! Persia is really attached to her brother Peter, and she would be thrilled to be adopted with him. Mario--I have a personality that will make you smile!

Mario is "the man"! He's friendly, social, playful, curious and cute as can be. He likes to hang out with his foster siblings and desperately wants a loving home and a family of his own. Mario is two years old - the perfect age. He's a little mellower than a kitten but still frisky and lots of fun. He has gorgeous green eyes and a personality that will make you smile. Andy--Adventurous--and handsome!

Buddy--I'm a young, affectionate guy!

Bugsy--I'm young and playful!

Bugsy is a super-handsome, super-friendly guy in need of a home! He was so sad when he lost his family - but AnimaLovers has stepped in and now we know he'll help find the perfect place...this time, it will be a FOREVER home. Bugsy is really good with other cats, the perfect age (about a year and half - not kitten crazy but still really young and playful) and with a personality that's sure to make him someone's new best friend. Missy--I'm good with cats--oh, and also people!

Missy is a two-year-old sweetheart of a cat. She lost her home when she had kittens (how awful!) - but was a wonderful mother and raised them beautifully and was even a surrogate mom to some other kittens. She's very mellow and easy going but now that her "mom duty" is over, she'd love to play, get lots of attention and most of all, have a wonderful home of her own. Gus--I'm off to my new home!

Gus is a small, sweet guy with a beautiful and unique coat (tiger with bits of a golden color). He's super nice, good with other cats (but NOT dogs - they really scare him) and loves to be held. Gus was found as a stray trying to fend for himself (which maybe explains his fear of dogs). The volunteers can't imagine why the owner of this wonderful little cat hasn't been searching high and low for him! He's a real jewel who, when he settles in, loves to curl up on your lap. Barry--I'm an easy-going, loving, kinda guy!

Barry was found running around an Albany neighborhood and taking cover under the raspberry patch. He likes his foster brother dog, loves to play and let's his foster moms carry him around. Barry enjoys being a lap cat, but is not too needy as he is content to lounge nearby, too. Barry also shows respect to the other cats in the house and plays and gets along with all his foster brother and sister cats. He is just 8 months old, very active and will follow his people around the house -- sometimes getting in the way a bit, but only because he is a companionable fellow. Sheila--It's true--I like to walk on a leash!

Sheila came to us after her owner died. She had lived with so many cats for her entire life that she didn't know quite what to think of a home with one dog and just a couple of cats. She seemed almost over-whelmed (in reverse!). Now she has been spayed and is adjusting to a normal life. Sheila is a tiny thing (only about 6 pounds) with a beautiful glossy black coat. The vets estimate she is about five years old and very friendly with her foster mom and starting to enjoy life with the other animals. She is good on a leash and harness (her smart foster mom used that technique to get her accustomed to the new animals in her foster home), and she likes it! She even grabs it with her paws when she wants to go for a walk! Please consider giving Sheila a home; she deserves a fresh start. She would adore being an only pet and would shower her humans with love - but she'd also be ok with a cat-friendly dog and another cat or two. For more information on Sheila, call 448-5468. Ian--Yup, I've been adopted--Yippee!!

Smokey Bones--Please read my story...

Smokey Bones was rescued as a kitten from an abusive situation. How awful and scary that must have been for him. Sadly, the person who rescued him wasn't able to keep him and, rather than taking him to a shelter or finding him a home, she just left him to fend for himself. Then Smokey B. was rescued again and became an AnimaLovers kitty.

We discovered he had a limp so we scheduled a vet visit. Smokey B. has a broken femur - most likely this happened at the hands of his first owner. He's such a little trooper he never let the limp stop him. He runs, he plays....and most amazing of all, he LOVES people! He adjusted quickly to his foster home where he greets the family at the door, plays with the other cats and is even wonderful with small children.

Smokey B. is having FHO surgery to repair his leg. The vets tell us he will be as good as new in record time and he will live a normal, healthy life. And, this is a cat that truly deserves a great life. Despite his past, he is super friendly and affectionate and very trusting and loving. All Smokey B. needs now is a home of his own.

Slim--I'm super friendly!!

I’m a super-friendly, affectionate, outgoing boy who loves the cats in my foster home and is OK with dogs, too. I snuggle with my foster mom on the couch and follow her from room to room to keep her company. I love to sleep next to her in bed at night!! I really like to be petted and will purr as long as you pet me. I’m also VERY playful and love to run with my foster siblings or chase after my toys. I need to go to a home with another cat that will let me play with him or her – I have way too much energy if I’m by myself!! I’m also nosy and will find things to play with if you don’t provide them for me. Although I’m OK with being picked up, I don’t like it for long; I’m too busy to stay in your arms!! I haven’t been around kids, but should be fine with them as long as they know I’ll be wiggly if they pick me up and want to get down. I have a great appetite and am not a picky eater. Dusty--Someone adopted me! (PRRRR!)

What a great cat! If you're looking for super-friendly, super-social cat - you don't need to look further than Dusty. He was rescued from a home where there were far too many cats. He got along with everyone but he is much happier in a more controlled environment....and now he can get even more human attention! We think Dusty is about five years old. Rugby--I'm special!

I’ve been looking, but just haven’t found the right people for me. Could you be my forever foster? I’m a great cat who has one special need: I take medicine every day for a heart condition that will shorten my life. The good news is that it doesn’t affect my behavior at all…and I love my medicine (it’s fish flavored…those smart veterinarians, always thinking!)
