Come out to our clinics to meet our dogs that are waiting for adoption. We are fortunate to have clinics at three locations:
When there are clinics scheduled for the future, dates will be shown below; otherwise, please contact us at 448-5468.
AnimaLovers is an all-volunteer-staffed organization. Because we conduct home visits prior to adoption, we generally limit our dog adoptions to those people who live within an hour of the Capital District. Click here to display the Adopt-a-Pet website or here to display the Petfinder website to search for animals in other areas.
The dog adoption fee for dogs and puppies is $150.
You can click here to open the dog adoption application form. Print and complete the form, then bring it with you when you visit one of our clinics! Call 448-5468 if you want any additional information for any of our dogs. Our dog adoption process includes a visit to your home after your adoption application has been approved. The visit is scheduled at your convenience, and its goal is to ensure that you can provide your new dog a safe and loving environment. Because AnimaLovers relies on volunteers for all its work, we regret that we cannot consider applications from people who live more than an hour's drive away from Albany, NY.

Ty loves to go for long walks, to play with his stuffed "doggies", to go for rides in the car or to just
hang out at home, his head on your lap while you watch TV or read together. Ty is enjoying his temporary home, but longs for a family to call his own. He would welcome the chance to share his life with kids; other dogs and adults are ok, too. He'd prefer to admire cats and other small animals from afar. Call 448-5468 to meet Ty.

Ty may have come to AnimaLovers as a stray, but in his foster home, he has shown just what a well behaved and gentle dog he is. This affectionate and smart shepherd mix has excellent indoor manners and a soft spoken way about him. In fact, Ty hardly ever barks - except when renegade turkeys peck on the windows of the house!
