Referral Cats

Tailor

This handsome guy was a hungry stray who was taken in by a kind family last winter. Tailor is a loving and affectionate kitty -- a real “people person” who's eager to make friends, tell you about his day, and purr, purr, purr while he soaks up your love! He has a calm side that loves to be held and cuddled, but he also loves to play. His favorite toy is a set of shoestrings purchased just for him! Tailor sometimes likes to give little love bites to remind you to scratch his back and rub his tummy. He is a bit jealous of his foster-kitty brother and would prefer to be an “only child” where he can be the center of attention – he will not let you down! No longer a hungry stray, Tailor loves his food and his yum-yums (treats), which is how he got the nickname, Tubby Tummy. Tailor is about 2-3 years old. He’s up to date on all vaccines, including leukemia (tested negative), is neutered and healthy. This loveable little butterball is a treasure and would be a wonderful companion in a new home. Please contact Karen at 518-794-8221 for more information about Tailor, or email Karen.jackuback@gmail.com. Top of Page

Izzy

Izzy is a very petite spayed 3-yr-old female cat looking for a forever home. She was found abandoned outside in the freezing cold living under an empty trailer in someone's yard. Although she was found very hungry and had on a heavy fur coat from the cold, she turned on her motor immediately and snuggled into our arms.

Izzy has a wonderful laid-back personality. If you just walk up to her, she rolls over on her side and turns on her motor. She loves to follow you around the house and sleep in your bed at night. If you are sitting down, she will be in your lap. She loves all visitors that come to her foster home. Izzy is small and looks like an older kitten but the vet tells us she is about 3 yrs old. When you come home from work, she will be waiting at the door.

Izzy is looking for an indoor-only home and would make a great companion. She has tested negative for FIV/FeLV and is up-to-date on her vaccines. If you would like to hear more, call Laurie at 518-461-0251 or brightsky@nycap.rr.com. Top of Page

Chloe

Chloe is a 7-year-old, spayed female, de-clawed, tortoise shell (tortie). Chloe is an indoor cat and up to date on all shots. Chloe is used to quiet surroundings (no children or other pets). She is a very loveable lap cat--she comes on her own terms. She loves to have her face rubbed and talks a lot. When she is relaxed, she will lay on her back and "play dead". Current owners have a change in living/work situation and need to find Chloe a new home...she will thrive in an environment where she will get a lot of love and attention. Sophia

Sophia is a pretty tortoiseshell cat. “Torties” are thought to be good luck in some cultures. She was named Sophia after the famous Italian actress Sophia Loren because she is long and lean with exotic green eyes. Sophia was lucky because she was rescued and given shelter when the storm from Hurricane Irene hit the area.

Sophia is a very well-behaved cat; she is super friendly and likes to be with other cats and people. If you pet her, she will give you kisses to thank you. Her favorite thing is to snuggle in your lap. Sophia is about 10 yrs. old, but looks and acts much younger. She will be a perfect cat for someone who wants an easy going kitty with a sweet personality. Please call Chris at 518-527-9637 for more information about Sophia, or send an Email to cbmoore@nycap.rr.com.

Cleo

Cleopatra (Cleo) is a gorgeous, friendly, affectionate and family-oriented LAP CAT. She would be great in an adult household or in a house with children because she loves the attention! She needs a new home because her current Mom is allergic to cats. She does not like the family dog and doesn't live with other cats, so she may be best as an "only" cat. Cleo is spayed and up-to-date on her veterinary care. She is an adult cat, (about 6 yrs.) with many great years to be by your side. If you are looking to share your home with a mature, but beautiful lady, Cleo will brighten your household! Please give Cleo the chance at her finally forever home. Pumpkin

We are looking for a cat-experienced home for a 1-year old who is full of energy and loves playing, though often doesn’t know his own strength. He has never been taught the correct way to play and can be a little rough – he needs someone who has the experience and time (of the right animals) to help teach him. And if you do you will be greatly rewarded as he is VERY VERY lovable, will follow you around, sit next to you on the couch and sleep with you at night. The ideal home for him would be one where there are no small children and either no other cats or one other cat who is an alpha-type and will ‘put him in his place’ and teach him how to play rather than tolerate his rough antics or run and hide. Another kitten about his age might also work. He has been around dogs and would also do VERY WELL with cat-friendly dogs who will play a little rougher like he wants to but won’t hurt him – he just needs an outlet for his play. He may actually prefer dogs to cats. If you think your home or know of one that would be the perfect place for him please email (Abby) at abbyzoldowski@gmail.com Top of Page

Paris

Paris is about 3 years old. She is a long-haired calico cat and is very beautiful. She was found as a stray cat and is wonderful with adult humans – affectionate, gentle and responsive. However, she must be an only pet as she will not tolerate other cats or dogs. All of her shots are up to date and she is in good health. She did have a back injury when found but it has not caused her any problems since her initial veterinary treatment. The vet just advises that she not be encouraged to jump a lot and should not be played with roughly. Paris will make a wonderful pet for an adult household with no other animals. Please give her a chance at a forever home.

Please call Janet at 518-482-7743 for more information about this lovely cat.
