Flickity

My Name is Flickity. I am a Seal Point Siamese mix. I'm 3 years old, have had all my shots, am a neutered male. Please adopt me. I have a tan and dark brown coat. I came from a home with too many cats, so I am not used to getting much attention. I'm pretty shy, I have no problem getting along with other cats. A quiet forever home is what I hope for, where I can have the time I need to relax and learn how wonderful people are. And I need some nice full food bowls to fatten me up a little. If you are interested in me please contact Marcia at (518) 861-6850 or email chuckscatlady@nycap.rr.com Top of Page

Pinky

Pinky

This is Pinky. She was rescued from the hoarder in Colonie back in April. She is the very last cat from that rescue. The reason she is just now ready was because she had a litter of kittens. Pinky was just spayed and has had all her shots. She tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV. She is under one year old too. She escaped all the illnesses the others had because my kind neighbor took her and the kittens so they would not be exposed to anything. She is very healthy. All her kittens have forever homes. Pinky is so appreciative to be alive. She is such a wonderful kitty. She is NOT AT ALL destructive in any way. She gets along with other cats great. If you are interested in knowing about her, please call (518) 861-6850 or email: chuckscatlady@nycap.rr.com Top of Page

Kitty

Kitty is about 4 years old. He is neutered and up-to-date on his shots. He is an indoor-only cat. He has had at least two homes that we know of, and now he is being pushed aside once again because his current mom is moving to an apartment where they do not accept cats. Kitty was given away from the home before this one because the existing cats there did not like him and picked on him.
There is nothing wrong with him, he just has had rotten luck. He is not destructive when his person is not home; he is content to laze about in a windowsill or on a cat bed until they return. He is shy of being picked up, but he gets used to it with patience and kindness, and he does enjoy being petted. I think he would prefer to be in a home without children, or at least with teenaged children that would respect his space if he wants it. Since he's had such a bad experience with other cats, he would likely do well with either no other cats, or with submissive cats who are similar to himself. I do not know how he would do around dogs. Please, give this poor fellow a chance to finally live out his life in peace, with the knowledge that he won't be thrown away again. Barnaby

My name is Barnaby. Once I lived in caring home with a lady who loved me. But when she died, new people moved into my house and put me out. I didn’t understand where my person had gone, and why she wasn’t coming back… I especially didn’t understand why I couldn’t get back inside my home. I sat on the front steps for almost two years. The people in the house pushed me away. I was lucky that neighbors noticed my situation, and put out food and water for me, but I was afraid, and wouldn’t let anyone get near me. I spent many winter nights in zero-degree weather, or hiding in garages during summer thunderstorms… Until this spring, when I finally decided to trust someone. Now I’m living with my foster mom, who has taken me to the vet to make sure I am healthy, and gotten me all caught up on my vaccinations. Although she’d like to keep me, she can’t -- but she says that I would be a wonderful indoor companion for someone—maybe you? I’m about 5 years old, neutered, litter-trained, VERY affectionate, and playful. I’ll follow you around, sit next to you and sleep with you at night. I have a constant “Elvis smirk”, as you can see from my photo—my top lip has a little cleft. The vet says it looks as if I had surgery there at one time- it only adds to my personality! Big Furr

My human had lost her cat of 22 years and was spending more time alone. I came to hang out with her and kept her company until my human went to the hospital for surgery. Due to complications of surgery her my human has not been home and will eventually have to go to an assisted living facility or a nursing home. I am 3 1/2 years old, friendly, and need someone to love. I am normal-size cat and am not sure why I was named Big Furr. My first three years were spent with a young woman who wasn't home much. My second home had dogs and lots of activity. I prefer a calm home with no kids or a laid back dog that isn't ready to chase and play with me. I don't have any health issues and would enjoy being around someone who wants to give me lots of love. Can you help me? Please call Darlene at 518-669-8952 to learn more about me! Top of Page

Simba

Hi, I'm Simba. I was born 7/28/2002 and was adopted when I was three months old. I'm eight years old now and am looking for a good home with no cats. You see, I am very sensitive to other cats and my current owner has one that I am not too fond of, but I am tolerant of dogs and birds. I would give my whole heart to the one owner that I could give all my love and attention to. It would make me so happy to be with that one special person. Please consider adopting me, I've had all my shots and been spayed. I would make a wonderful pet for an elderly person who loves to pet cats. Thank you.

For more information about Simba, please call Wendy at 810-6209 or by email at wenlead@yahoo.com

Woody and Gray

Two cats need a home due to owner moving to California. Both are indoor-outdoor cats. Click here for descriptions and photos. Top of Page

Autumn and Denali

What can I say...Autumn and Denali are the best two cats someone could ever ask for. It breaks my heart as their "cat mom" to even put them up for adoption. Unfortunately, as the seasons of life change so did my family's ability to properly care for these cats. We have a 8 month old son who demands most of our time and attention. Since his arrival the cats spend a lot of their time in an upstairs bedroom away from the noise and commotion. We do not think they have the same quality of life they once did and we believe they would be better off with someone who can love on them and appreciate them like they deserve.

They are a dynamic, 5 year old, brother and sister pair with wonderful personalities. Denali (male, black/gray/white long hair) is the more confident/dominant one of the pair. He does not hesitate to give affection; he will come and jump up on your lap and cuddle any time he is welcome. Autumn (female, brown/orange/white short hair) prefers to wait for just the right moment when she can have some uninterrupted one-on-one time. She loves to chase things whether it be a piece of string or a flying mouse toy. They are both very well behaved and well mannered. I could honestly go on and on about how wonderful these cats are... If you would like to learn more about them and potentially arrange a meeting please contact Sarah at (518) 225-9607 or sarahjweidman@gmail.com

Lilac Moon

Lilac Moon is a gorgeous, super affectionate kitty who came to call on us on April 3rd. It appears his prior owners decided to find him a "home in the country" by dumping him on our farm. He is now up to date on all vaccinations and is neutered. While we think he is the "cat's pajamas" (hee hee), our dogs do not and so he needs a loving indoor home. If you are interested in adopting this simply marvelous Siamese cross (under 2 years old), please contact Helene at 797-3532 or hggpjb@msn.com. Thank you!! Top of Page
