AnimaLovers Is Helping Dutchess and Her Kittens
You Can, Too!
When AnimaLovers rescued Dutchess, we learned that she was only about a week away from giving birth, so we placed her with one of our caring foster families that was prepared to see her through her delivery.
A week later, she went into labor; but, after 17 hours, she had delivered only two kittens, one which was stillborn. After being rushed to an emergency clinic, the veterinarian performed a C-section and delivered three live babies and another stillborn. Unfortunately, since then, the kitten Dutchess birthed has died. We (and Dutchess!) are now caring for the three adorable kittens pictured in the next column.

We are very happy that we were there to help. Her care and the care of her kittens, however, came with a significant price tag – over $1,500. And there are more expenses to come. Each of the kittens will be spayed or neutered before we place them in loving, forever homes.

We need your help to cover these expenses and provide for upcoming expenses that we always expect this time of year with "kitten season."
